This song is one of those precious mysterious gifts that came unexpectedly. I was originally asked to write a song for the movie "Autumn In New York" starring Richard Gere and Wynona Ryder. The story is about a young woman who is dying from an incurable illness and about the love that exists between her and Richard Gere's character. I was so moved by the story that I had to draw upon my own life and dig deeper to reveal all of the emotions I felt years earlier when my father passed away. I had to go back and reflect on all of the things he said during his illness, and the love that he felt for my mother. I began to see his life and feel his emotions and express his heart ...I saw the world as he must have seen it before his passing. what resulted was a song that is my favorite and the most dear to me. It eventually never made it into the movie but it stands as a tribute and testament of the love he felt for my mother...and a gift to me
